Chalmers is a foundation and has made the decision independently, while several other universities follow directly from the government on various issues.

Regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the government urged Swedish universities to suspend all cooperation with Russia. But there are no directives on political manifestations from the government, they told SVT.
