Mutual shelling continues across the Lebanese-Israeli (French) border

Lebanese Hizbullah announced on Tuesday the targeting of the Israeli site of Birkat Risha and the surrounding gathering places of soldiers on the southern Lebanese border, and the targeting of the Israeli Marj site twice, adding that it achieved direct hits in the targeted sites.

Al-Jazeera correspondent said that the occupation forces shelled the vicinity of border towns in southern Lebanon after Israeli positions were bombed.

Lebanon's National News Agency reported that Israeli shelling on border towns did not result in casualties.

The agency explained that the Israeli marches carried out raids on the town of Aita al-Shaab, and on an empty house on the outskirts of the town of Blida and the vicinity of the football field in the western outskirts of the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli military said its warplanes bombed a number of Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanese territory in response to their positions being bombed, and did not say whether its soldiers were hit by the shelling that targeted them.

Beirut announced today that two Lebanese civilians were killed and others wounded in Israeli shelling on Monday targeting a house in the border town of Ainata, while the Israeli army said the raid targeted Hezbollah fighters who fired on Israeli positions.

Since 8 October, the Lebanese-Israeli border has witnessed daily mutual shelling between the Israeli occupation army on the one hand and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon on the other, leaving dead and wounded on both sides of the border.
