The priest Ángel García, better known as Father Angel, 86, is hospitalized for observation "due to a gastrointestinal problem of little seriousness," according to the NGO founded by the priest, Mensajeros de la Paz.
"We want to reassure our friends and collaborators, assuring that his evolution is being favorable and that there is no cause for concern since he is waiting to receive medical discharge soon," the organization explains in a statement published on Tuesday.
According to him, the decision to hospitalize Father Angel was taken "as a preventive measure to ensure his well-being and speedy recovery."
Both Mensajeros de la Paz and Father Ángel himself have shown their gratitude to all the people who are sending them their signs of affection and support.
