The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that it killed on Tuesday 9 Israeli soldiers, and destroyed tanks and vehicles of the occupation forces penetrating into the Gaza Strip, amid fierce battles in several axes.

The Qassam Brigades said in a statement that it "attacked 7 Israeli soldiers from a distance of zero in the axis north of Gaza City," adding that it targeted a personnel carrier and a tank in the same area, stressing that they caught fire.

The al-Qassam Brigades also announced that they had fired at two Israeli soldiers from zero distance and wounded three others in a clash with forces penetrating into Beit Hanoun.

In another series of statements, the military wing of Hamas announced that it had carried out a series of operations against the occupation forces on Tuesday in the fighting axes in Gaza City, and in the central and northern areas.

The Qassam Brigades confirmed that its fighters targeted an Israeli special force holed up in a building in northern Gaza and another holed up in a building southwest of Gaza with TBG anti-personnel missiles.


Targeting tanks and vehicles

Within a few hours, al-Qassam Brigades fighters were able to target at least six tanks, a personnel carrier and a military bulldozer with al-Yassin 6 shells, Tandom shells and commando action canisters, according to separate statements.

It also announced that it had bombarded the forces penetrating into the southern Gaza City and east of Juhr al-Dik (central Gaza Strip) with the 114mm short-range rocket system "Rajum".

The al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, announced a series of operations and clashes in several areas, particularly in Gaza City.

The Saraya said in a statement that its fighters are engaged in clashes, which it described as fierce, with the Israeli occupation forces penetrating the center of Gaza City.

At the same time, the Mujahideen Brigades (one of the resistance factions in Gaza) announced that they had clashed with the occupation forces in the Al-Nasr and Tal Al-Hawa axes in Gaza City, causing injuries among the occupation soldiers, and said that they had shelled Israeli crowds east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

The Israeli occupation army had admitted that two soldiers were killed and 4 others were wounded last night in the ground battles in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the announced death toll to 47 since the start of its ground invasion on October 27.
