Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that there will be no ceasefire in Gaza without the return of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas in the Strip since October 7.

Netanyahu said during a visit to Ramon Air Base: "I want you to know that there is one thing we will not do, there will be no ceasefire without the return of our abductors."

He added, as quoted by his office in a written statement, "To both our enemies and our friends. We will continue until we defeat them (Hamas) we have no alternative."

Many Israelis demonstrated last night in front of Netanyahu's headquarters and demanded that he resign, blaming him for the failure of the occupation army in the face of Palestinian resistance. Some said Netanyahu's stay in power posed a danger to Israel.

It is noteworthy that on the seventh of last October, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – and other Palestinian resistance factions launched Operation "Al-Aqsa Flood" against the Israeli occupation, killing so far more than 1542,5431 Israelis and wounding <>,<> of them.

The Palestinian resistance also captured 240 Israelis and announced that it wanted to exchange them for more than 6,<> prisoners in Israeli prisons.

Israel continues its aggression on Gaza, bombing homes, schools, hospitals and mosques, killing more than 9770,24 Palestinians, mostly women and children, injuring <>,<> people, destroying entire neighborhoods and displacing most of the population.

For more than a week, Israel has been carrying out a ground operation in the besieged enclave, but has suffered painful losses at the hands of the resistance, killing more than 30 of its officers and evacuating 260 wounded from the field.
