"There will be no ceasefire without the release of our hostages," i24 quoted Netanyahu as saying in front of the military at one of the Israeli air force bases.
He noted that the fighting will continue until the victory over the enemy.
Earlier, Netanyahu said that Israel would not agree to a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip if the Palestinian movement Hamas did not release the hostages.
Matthew Miller, the head of the press service of the US State Department, noted that the US authorities believe that Hamas is unlikely to comply with the terms of possible ceasefire agreements.
