As the video began to spread on Israeli and Arab social media platforms, Yoav Zeitoun, a military correspondent for the Israeli website Yant tweeted, noting that the video was old and part of previous training.
"I don't know who the Israeli official distributed this video, because during a quick search, I found that the video was from previous training," he said.

Tweeters in the Arab world refuted Netanyahu's spokesman's account, saying that a simple check of the clip revealed that the person attacked by the dog was wearing a shield to train dogs.
They noted that his other hand did not use it to defend himself, and he could have shot the dog from it.
