"Volodymyr Zelensky has decided to hold presidential elections next year," the MP said.

According to him, Zelensky will explain this decision to the public by the fact that this is "allegedly a demand of Western partners."

"If these elections are not held, Zelensky loses legitimacy," Honcharenko added.

Earlier, ex-adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, announced the need for Zelensky's resignation.

Also, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba noted that Zelensky is considering the possibility of holding presidential elections in Ukraine in the spring of 2024.
