Old curtains, worn underwear and leftover fabric – Elizabeth Westerlund sews clothes from all the textiles she can get her hands on. The smallest piece of scrap is used for pockets, patterns or as a filling in pillows.

"In my family, we've learned that if you have broken things, they are either repaired or cut to pieces," she says.

Fashion for Bigger Bodies

In addition to creating sustainable fashion, she also wants to create clothes that are inclusive.

"If you look at sustainable fashion today, it's for small and thin bodies, and I want to change that," says Elizabeth Westerlund.
