Arab governments have strongly condemned the threat of an Israeli minister to drop a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip, which has been facing Israeli aggression for a month in which 9770,24 people have been killed and <>,<> wounded so far.

Amid the failed Israeli ground incursion into Gaza, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu said he supported bombing the territory with a nuclear bomb and that the killing of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas was part of the price of war.

The Palestinian government on Sunday condemned Eliyahu's remarks, stressing that it was a clear acknowledgement of Israel's massacres in the Strip.

"We condemn the barbaric racist statements made by one of Netanyahu's coalition partners, fascist Heritage Minister Eliyahu, regarding his call to strike and annihilate the Gaza Strip with a nuclear bomb," the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

She added that these statements are an explicit declaration and a clear acknowledgment of "what the occupation state is doing against our people throughout the Palestinian geography, specifically the massacres committed daily against civilians in the Gaza Strip."

Zionist terrorism

Salameh Maarouf, spokesman for the government media office in Gaza, called on the ICC prosecutor to "include this rude statement as evidence of the occupier's admission to committing and inciting crimes."

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said the remarks "reflect the unprecedented criminal Zionist terrorism practiced by this fascist government and its leaders against our people."

Hamas called on the international community, the United Nations and the relevant international courts "to take the statement of this criminal, and the statements of the occupation leaders, seriously, and to take the necessary measures to stop this entity from the war of extermination it is committing in the Gaza Strip."

Call for extermination

Jordan on Sunday condemned the Israeli minister's statement as a call for genocide that cannot be tolerated.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry considered in a statement that the racist inflammatory and provocative statements issued by one of the Israeli government ministers about dropping a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip are a call for genocide and a hate crime that cannot be tolerated.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry said that the Israeli minister's remarks were an extension of his government's escalatory policy in the Palestinian territories.

Such statements constituted serious incitement to a war crime and a disregard for humanitarian values and international law.

"We strongly condemn the statements of a minister in the Israeli occupation government regarding the threat to strike the Gaza Strip with a nuclear bomb," a statement by the Qatari Foreign Ministry said.

Extremism and brutality

Saudi Arabia also condemned "in the strongest terms" on Sunday the Israeli minister's remarks.

"The Kingdom condemns in the strongest terms the extremist statements issued by a minister in the Israeli occupation government, regarding the dropping of a nuclear bomb on the besieged Gaza Strip, which show the penetration of extremism and brutality among members of the Israeli government," the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Eliyahu's comments angered the Israeli opposition and the families of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas, with mounting calls for his immediate removal.

Eliyahu belongs to the far-right Jewish Power party, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, a party that supports settlement construction, regaining control of the Strip and espouses extremist views.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered a halt to the heritage minister's participation in cabinet meetings, without dismissing him.

But Israel's Channel 12 reported that the heritage minister took part in a telephone vote on Tuesday despite his suspension from Netanyahu's government.
