Meanwhile, the Qassam Brigades announced that it bombarded Tel Aviv with several rockets on Sunday evening in response to the massacres committed by the occupation army in Gaza.

Israeli Army Radio reported that rockets landed in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan and Petah Tikva.

Al-Jazeera's correspondent quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the Iron Dome system intercepted a number of rockets without the Israeli ambulance reporting any injuries.

Video footage showed an Iron Dome rocket falling on the city of Rishon Lezion, south of Tel Aviv.

The al-Qassam Brigades also announced that it had targeted the Ra'im military base with rockets with a rocket barrage, and sirens sounded in Beersheba and in Eshkol inside the Gaza envelope.

The Qassam Brigades had broadcast images showing the launch of a rocket barrage that it said targeted Israeli cities and towns in response to the occupation massacres in Gaza.
