Recently, bed bugs have been in the news, not least through reports that the small animals have invaded the metro in Paris. Traces of bed bugs have also been discovered in the subway in Stockholm.
But despite the fact that the media attention can lead one to believe that bed bugs are now found in every other home, the number of decontaminations has actually decreased in recent years in Sweden, according to figures from the largest sanitation companies: Nomor and Anticimex.
"I think it's because people have become more aware," says Johan Peterson.
