Inside the memorial hall where the fire occurred 25 years ago, Rozbeh Aslanian stands and reflects on the fact that he once went to 17 funerals in two weeks.

"Even today, I think about how sick it is for a teenager to go through," says Rozbeh Aslanian.

Gathering strength to spread the light

The purpose of the manifestation, according to Rozbeh, is to "bring back the light to a country that lacks it." He describes the diversity of that time as something beautiful, and therefore in addition to mourning the victims, he also wants to bring the people of Gothenburg together.

"This is a manifestation of love. We want to give back to the city that has given us so much," says Rozbeh Aslanian.

Will be the last big ceremony

Sunday will be the last time the people of Gothenburg will have to mourn the victims in this way. The organizers have invited various actors in the City of Gothenburg and some businesses have confirmed attendance such as The Man Behind the Uniform (MBU), the Red Cross, the Rescue Mission of the Church of Sweden.

Rozbeh Aslanian and Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board Jonas Attenius will give speeches during the manifestation.
