The United Nations and international humanitarian organizations have warned of the acceleration of the collapse of the situation in Gaza in light of the continued Israeli aggression on residential neighborhoods and health and service facilities, which led to the martyrdom of more than 8,<> martyrs.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Sunday that the situation in the Gaza Strip was deteriorating rapidly, again calling for a ceasefire to end the "nightmare" of bloodshed.

"The situation in Gaza is getting more desperate hour by hour," Guterres said during a visit to the Nepalese capital, lamenting "Israel's intensification of its military operations instead of declaring a humanitarian truce supported by the international community in light of its urgent need."

The UN Secretary-General stressed that "the number of civilians killed and injured is completely unacceptable."

The Israeli aggression on Gaza has led to the death of more than 8,<> Palestinians, almost half of them children, and the vast numbers of wounded.

"The world is witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe that falls under our watch," Guterres said.

Complete collapse

Last Friday, the UN chief said the humanitarian system in the Gaza Strip was facing a complete collapse, with unimaginable consequences for more than two million civilians.

Guterres had earlier strongly condemned Israel's aggression on Gaza, saying that the Hamas attack on October 7 did not come in a vacuum, but returned to say that his remarks had been distorted.

Israeli aggression has displaced more than a million people fleeing the bombardment.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said yesterday that the war with Hamas had "entered a new phase."

The United Nations warned on Sunday of the collapse of "public order" in the Gaza Strip after the looting of a number of its centers and the slow entry of humanitarian aid.

International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President Mirjana Šbulijarc said yesterday she was shocked by the level of "intolerable human suffering" and denounced "a catastrophic failure that the world should not allow".

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) international president Christos Christo said: "In the face of a constant and horrific bombardment, there is nowhere for people to turn to. There must be an immediate ceasefire."

Wallpapers of the flood and aggression

It is noteworthy that Israel was established on Arab land occupied in 1948, annexed Jerusalem and the West Bank in 1967, and continued throughout its 70 years to kill and arrest Palestinians, expand settlement activity in the West Bank, launch military operations on Gaza and attack Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

On October 1400, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and other Palestinian resistance factions launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli occupation, killing more than <>,<> Israelis so far.

The Palestinian resistance also captured more than 200 Israelis and announced that it wanted to exchange them for more than 6,<> Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

For its part, Israel continues its aggression against Gaza, bombing homes, schools, hospitals and mosques, killing more than 8,12 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in addition to injuring <>,<>, destroying entire neighborhoods and displacing most of the population.

Israel's military operations in Gaza are widely supported by the United States, which has sent two aircraft carriers to the Mediterranean "to deter any attempt to expand the conflict."
