"Everything is fine with us, there is no need to rename anything," RT was told.

Ten years ago, the director of a local school proposed to change the name due to the fact that graduates were allegedly teased with words derived from the name of the village when entering Irkutsk universities. This idea was abandoned.

Residents of the village of Bukhalovo (emphasis on U) will not want to change the historical name, the administration of the Kenozerskoye municipality of the Arkhangelsk region told RT.

"A tourist route passes through the village, and tourists often confuse the accent, calling the village Bukhalovo," they said.
