The number of passengers from Linköping Airport increased by 94.5 per cent in the third quarter of this year compared with the same period last year. From Norrköping Airport, passengers increased by 39.4 per cent.

"They show that we are on our way back to the levels we were at before the pandemic," says Jessica Ågren Ohlsson, Marketing Manager at Norrköping Airport.

Increased threat

But at the same time, the current world situation and the increased threat scenario may affect travel.

"You think about what's going on and where you're going and, above all, which countries you're planning to visit. The worldview changes incredibly quickly," says traveller Bertil Eklund.

Anxiety about being Swedish

Jessica Ågren recently returned from an air show in Istanbul and she reflected in a different way, she says.

"I felt a certain anxiety about being Swedish and being in Turkey. It was the first time that I reflected on the fact that it might not be good to show off being Swedish. I've never thought of that before.
