El Gouna Film Festival announced the postponement of the sixth edition, which was scheduled to take place between October 27 and November 2.

The sixth edition was postponed and donated 5 million Egyptian pounds ($32,<>) to support humanitarian relief efforts for the people of Gaza, in cooperation with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and the Egyptian Red Crescent, in line with the festival's principle of "cinema for humanity," according to a statement by the festival's management.

No new date was set for the sixth session, which was postponed, a few days ago, as the festival was supposed to be held on the thirteenth of October, and with the escalation of events in the Gaza Strip, the festival management decided to postpone it for two weeks, to be announced to postpone the session indefinitely, to be held after the stability of the situation in Palestine.

El Gouna's postponement came a day after the decision to postpone the Cairo International Film Festival in its forty-fifth edition, scheduled to be held from November 15 to 24, without giving the reasons for the postponement.

Egyptian Culture Minister Nevine Kilani also decided to postpone the Arab Music Festival in a statement that said "postponing the thirty-second session of the Arab Music Festival and Conference," provided that "the new date will be determined later."
