According to Major Anna Sofia Strid, Commander of the Training Battalion, the Stockholm Amphibious Regiment has since October 1 taken over responsibility for all naval infrastructure from Härnösand in the north to Bråviken in the south.

"What we're doing now is learning the environment and the terrain in which we should be able to operate," says Anna Sofia Strid.

During the week, the students have demonstrated their skills in navigation and other things required to become outstanding combat boat commanders. The port of Härnösand is central to the training – and the port itself is an important resource for the Swedish Armed Forces and the Navy, according to Anna Sofia Strid.

"Now this is the last push before they are fully trained," says Patrik Ekström, the head of the Combat Boat Commander Course 2023.

The prospective commanders undergo further tests in two weeks, including pressure tests to determine their suitability to lead on the combat boats.
