With great sadness, a resident of the Gaza Strip recounts how the occupation targeted his family, who fled the shelling of homes in the Zeitoun area, but they were martyred along with the rest of the citizens who were killed in the bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza.

The grieving person stood in the hospital yard where 31 members of his family, including his cousins, their sons and mother-in-law and her daughters-in-law, died, and was only able to identify them by the items they had left behind, including their books and clothes: "They were just shredded."

The grieving citizen lifted a book and a school bag for a girl from the family who was no more than five years old, and asked: Why did the shelling target this child, was she hiding explosives and weapons in her bag? He continued to walk between the bags of clothes left behind by the martyrs that they took with them to the place where they thought they would find safety, and the Israeli death machine followed them.

Despite the immense sadness, this Palestinian, who lost most of his family, confirmed the popular steadfastness in the Gaza Strip, and the refusal of Palestinians to seek refuge anywhere in the world.
