Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Herzog took off his religious dress and put on his uniform to enter Israel's battle against the Gaza Strip after his army was mobilized in the wake of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, launched by the Palestinian resistance.

Herzog, who calls himself the rabbi of the island, posted a picture on the X platform in military uniform accompanying the soldiers of the Israeli occupation army, threatening that the Jewish people's response to the killing of Israelis in the "Al-Aqsa Flood", the surprise military operation, last Saturday will make the effects of dropping nuclear bombs on "Nagasaki and Hiroshima seem like a joke."

Herzog was trained in Israel to become a rabbi, but he officially works in the IDF and always advises its soldiers, according to Israeli websites.

Herzog defines himself as the rabbi of the Arabian Peninsula and a "spiritual leader specializing in interfaith dialogue" and aspires to a new Jewish community.

The Israeli army called up 300,<> reservists as part of its response to the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas), and distributed thousands of weapons to settlers in the border with Lebanon, in the settlements surrounding Gaza and in mixed Jewish-Arab communities.
