Operation in Jerusalem

In occupied Jerusalem, Palestinian Khaled Mohtaseb was killed after he opened fire on a police station in Bab al-Sahira in the vicinity of the Old City, wounding two Israeli policemen.

An Israeli police spokesman said the attacker was from the Beit Hanina neighborhood of East Jerusalem and was 21.

Palestinian media published scenes documenting the Israeli occupation forces closing the entrances to the Wad Al-Joz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem following the shooting.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces stormed the house of the martyr Khaled Mohtaseb in the town of Beit Hanina in occupied Jerusalem and arrested his father and brother.

Palestinian sources also reported renewed clashes on Thursday evening between Palestinian youths and the Israeli army in the suburbs of occupied Jerusalem and other areas of the West Bank.

The West Bank has been witnessing confrontations and an escalation of attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers since the Palestinian resistance launched the battle of "Al-Aqsa flood" last Saturday.
