The Valencian Government has met this afternoon in an extraordinary way to agree on the cessation of the undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, which directs Vox, upon learning that he had been convicted of gender violence in 2011. As explained by the spokeswoman, Ruth Merino, who appeared accompanied by the Minister of Justice, Elisa Núñez, Luis Manuel Martin Domínguez received a conviction in 2011 after a sentence of conformity.

The minister, who did not want to give any details of the facts, limited herself to stating that she knew the sentence this Thursday morning, nor did she explain how or by whom, and sent a letter to President Carlos Mazón to request the "immediate cessation" of the undersecretary. She did clarify that it was an affiliate of the party that she herself chose to be appointed as a senior official, so this news has meant "a breach of confidence" that has led her to request her replacement.

"This is a personal issue and as a lawyer I consider it essential not to violate the right to privacy and data protection. I think I have acted coherently and within the framework of the government pact between the PP and Vox. As soon as I became aware, I transferred it to the president and asked for the cessation," Núñez explained.
