The Tidö parties do not agree on how the obligation to report should be designed.

Minister of Health Acko Ankarberg Johansson (KD) does not believe that doctors and nurses should have a duty to report undocumented migrants to the police.

According to her, it will now be investigated what an exemption for healthcare professionals could look like.

"I think it's necessary to look at such situations, for me healthcare is an area where there are distressing circumstances and ethical aspects," says Acko Ankarberg Johansson for 30 minutes.

Åkesson (SD): "There are no exceptions"

In response to the question how important this is for her, the Minister of Health replies:

"It was important to me when I decided to become Minister of Health and read the Tidö Agreement that the valve was included.

But not everyone agrees. Sweden Democrats party leader Jimmie Åkesson has been clear that no professional group should be excluded from the duty to inform the police when coming into contact with undocumented migrants.

"For me, there are no exceptions," he previously said in an interview with Dagens Nyheter.

Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M) has not ruled out that professional groups, teachers and doctors should be included.

"There is a difference between citizens in general and, on the other hand, civil servants who are employed in the public sector," he previously said in SVT's 30 minutes.
