An analysis of satellite imagery showed that about 800 buildings were completely or partially demolished as a result of floods and floods that hit the Libyan port city of Derna a few days ago.

The investigations unit of the Sanad agency on the island analyzed satellite images obtained from the American company "Maxar" and counted the number of buildings that have been demolished so far.

The catastrophic flooding was caused by the collapse of one of the dams weak to the force of Storm Daniel, and then the huge amounts of water that were trapped behind the dam caused severe flooding that washed away large parts of the area, flooded buildings and left extensive destruction in the city.

The green color in the attached map indicates the buildings that did not collapse and demolish, while the red color shows the size, number and location of the distribution of buildings that were completely damaged by the floods, while buildings that appear without any colors were not affected by the storm.
