Some 12 million students will have to put their bags back on their backs. They make their return to school this Monday: a return marked by teacher shortages, the prohibition of abaya and several pedagogical novelties from kindergarten to general high school.

In kindergarten, elementary school, middle school or high school, the approximately 12 million students who return to school this Monday will realize that there are some changes. In addition to the ban on wearing an abaya, which is considered a religious symbol, several pedagogical innovations from kindergarten to general high school should be noted.

In primary, classes during the holidays

In kindergarten, the duplication of classes must continue in large sections in priority education networks. As in CP and CE1 classes, there will be no more than 12 children per class. Schools are also encouraged to develop courses during the holidays for students in difficulty.

In middle school, compulsory tutoring in 6th grade

In middle school, in the 6th grade, the changes are numerous. Instead of technology, an hour of support in mathematics and French will be organized in half-groups with the help of volunteer teachers. The "Homework done" system is also mandatory to revise your lessons after the end of the course, with also a volunteer teacher.

The 5th arrondissements benefit from a half-day of discovery of the professions. And colleges that wish to do so can introduce two hours of sport per week in addition.

In high school, the specialty tests are staggered

In high school, in first, mathematics is reintegrated into the common core with 1h30 of lessons per week. The oral French baccalaureate will be done on 16 texts instead of 20. Finally, the terminals have a new calendar since the specialty tests are shifted from March to June.
