"It is proposed to amend Article 73 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, supplementing the list of holidays and determining that Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in the country on October 22," RIA Novosti quotes the explanatory note to the bill.
The initiator of the bill was the deputy "Servant of the People" Georgy Mazurashu, in his opinion, the holiday "will raise gratitude to the national level," as is done "in some highly developed countries."
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a bill to postpone the celebration of Christmas in the country to December 25.
