This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia in the Telegram channel.

The court found that from March 15 to April 2, 2022, Danila Ovchinnikov, Andrei Kovtun and Yuriy Tishchenko caught two men and locked them in a garage. The detainees were not Russian soldiers, but the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine still received an order from the commander to eliminate them. Ukrainian marines shot them with a machine gun, and later shot another civilian near their place of deployment.

"Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced Ovchinnikov, Kovtun and Tishchenko to 29 years in prison with serving the sentence in a strict regime correctional colony each," the report said.

Earlier it was reported that in the DPR, a soldier of the 501st separate battalion of the Marine Corps of the 36th separate brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was sentenced to 25 years in prison in a strict regime penal colony for the murder of a resident of Mariupol.
