According to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Consulate General in Fukuoka, the Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts that the No. 8 large strong typhoon "Kanu" is currently located in the sea east of the Amami area of Kagoshima Prefecture, moving north, with a maximum wind speed of 8m/s near the center and a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 6m/s, which is expected to approach the Kyushu area on the 30th.

Due to the typhoon, Kyushu and Amami regions will experience storms, huge waves and heavy rainfall between August 8 and 7, with precipitation expected to reach 10-24 mm in 300 hours and maximum wind speeds of 400-30 m/s. At the same time, typhoons may cause secondary disasters such as river flooding, mudslides, and building collapses, and public transportation such as flights, railways, and ferries in these areas may be delayed or cancelled to varying degrees due to bad weather.

The Chinese Consulate General in Fukuoka once again reminds Chinese citizens and tourists in the consular district to pay close attention to weather changes, safety warnings and flight dynamics, keep abreast of the latest situation through official channels, follow the evacuation instructions issued by the local government, grasp evacuation information in advance, and prepare for disaster prevention. In case of emergency, please report to the police and contact the Chinese Consulate General in Fukuoka for assistance.
