Since Wednesday 5 July and until Wednesday 2 August inclusive, Navigo pass subscribers most affected by the strikes at the beginning of the year against the pension reform can obtain compensation. All they have to do is connect to the dedicated platform on the Île-de-France mobilités site.

After the reimbursement campaign related to the quality of service in transport between September and December 2022, Île-de-France mobilités, the organizing authority for transport in the Paris region, is launching a similar platform on its website this Wednesday. Until 2 August included, Navigo subscribers will be able to obtain compensation due to the disruptions at the beginning of the year when strikes against the pension reform were in full swing.

To benefit from it, you must still meet certain conditions. Starting with having an eligible package (annual, monthly or Imagine R) for one month between January and April 2023. It is also necessary to have regularly borrowed the lines affected by these disruptions, the postal address directly linked to the subscription serving as proof. The list of cities most affected by these strikes and therefore eligible for compensation is available on the Île-de-France mobilités website.

The RATP network is not affected

Just like all the lines and sections concerned. It should be noted that users of the RATP network, generally spared by disruptions, cannot claim a refund. Conversely, the three RER lines operated by the SNCF as well as many axes of the Transilien have led the hard life for their users for many weeks. The latter are indeed eligible for the compensation campaign. In detail, five branches serving the western suburbs and another linking to the south of Essonne, on the RER C, are concerned as well as a large part of the RER D and E.

On the Transilien, lines H, J, K, L, N, P and R are concerned. Only the U-line therefore passes between the drops. Details of the most affected branches can be found on the Île-de-France mobilités website. The amount of compensation will range from 10 to 94 euros maximum. To take advantage of it, your line must have suffered at least one to three days of disruption (in which case, you will receive a transfer of 10 euros). Then, an amount of 2.80 euros applies per additional day of disruption, to which are added 10 euros to compensate for the hardship suffered by Ile-de-France residents.

IDFM justifies this initiative by a contract between the company and SNCF Voyageurs which mentions an obligation to provide a minimum transport offer during strike days. When this commitment is not respected (which corresponds to an offer 33% lower than the normal offer) a daily compensation of 2.80 euros is provided for the traveler. A reality that concerned 29 branches of the RER and Transilien network this winter.
