"At the OZON warehouse in Koltsovo (Sverdlovsk region), several cases of meningococcal infection were detected. All patients are employees of contractors, they are under the supervision of doctors and are already receiving the necessary assistance," OZON said.
They also noted that they are in touch with Rospotrebnadzor and comply with all the instructions of the supervisory authority.
"To prevent the spread of infection, we are vaccinating all warehouse employees, at the moment we have already vaccinated more than 100 people. We have introduced a mask mode, measure the temperature at the inlet and treat the surfaces with an antiseptic. We also conduct regular medical examinations - if there are signs of a cold, we are not allowed to work. In addition, general disinfection will be carried out in the warehouse in the near future," the press service added.
The company focused on the fact that the warehouse in Koltsovo continues to work with all precautions.
"It is important to note that it is still safe to receive orders from OZON: meningitis is transmitted by airborne droplets from person to person at close range and quickly dies on the surface," OZON concluded.
Earlier, the department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Sverdlovsk region reported that seven cases of meningococcal infection were detected in Yekaterinburg among employees of the OZON distribution center.
