Jesús M.S. and Estrella G. S-R., Spaniards aged 58 and 56, are the two arrested for the crime of Concha in their uniform shop in Tirso de Molina, have multiple records for other robberies with violence, illegal possession of weapons or drug trafficking, and were known habitual criminals in the downtown area of the capital.

Both hatched a plan to steal last Monday the collection of the day in the historic store Vistebien, where Jesus entered with a knife, while Estrella waited at the door of the establishment, located in an area with special police surveillance, according to sources of the investigation.

But some reason investigated by the agents of the V Group of Homicides of Madrid did not go well and the robber struck Concha, 61 years old and veteran among the merchants of Tirso de Molina, several stabs in the abdomen.

However, the now detained had time to take money from the box of the store before fleeing.

It was 13:20 p.m. in a central square in the capital, so several witnesses could see the assailant leave the establishment with blood on the plaid shirt he was wearing.

300 meters from the crime

The succession of events was collected by the video surveillance cameras placed inside the business, as was also filmed the escape of Jesus and Estrella by Anton Martin to Atocha Street, where early Tuesday afternoon they were arrested, just 300 meters from the scene of the crime.

The two habitual criminals, who could maintain a romantic relationship, had stayed in a hostel in the area.

Jesus, born in a municipality of Madrid, was arrested as the material author of the crime, while his companion was arrested as a collaborator in the events.

Both are in police custody at the Tetouan district police station waiting to go to court tomorrow, Thursday, as expected.
