According to the manufacturer Cloetta, weak demand and low profitability are behind the decision.

"The decision to stop producing Mums-mums depends on several factors. This is partly due to reduced demand, which results in sales disappointing and profitability being low. All in all, this means that we are not able to keep Mums-mums in the range", writes Michaela Ekelund, Communications Officer at Cloetta, in an email to Corren.

The last Mums mums is planned to be produced in early September this year, in Cloetta's factory in Ljungsbro outside Linköping.

"After that, it can be found in the stores that still have it in their warehouses. How long it takes before it is completely gone will differ from store to store", writes Michaela Ekelund.
