In June, in New York, singer Bebe Rexha had to interrupt a concert after receiving a phone in the head, slightly injuring her eye.

Among other recent incidents, country artist Kelsea Ballerini was targeted by a bracelet on stage in the state of Idaho, while even more singularly, the singer Pink picked up in the middle of a song a small bag supposed to contain the ashes of the mother of a fan.

So many moments captured on their phones by spectators and which then become viral on social networks, with the risk of encouraging other similar gestures, lamented several artists.

In residence in Las Vegas, where she performs every Friday and Saturday, mega star Adele has warned that she will not accept it.

"Fuck, I'm challenging you, I'm challenging you to throw something at me. I will kill you," she said wryly, according to a video circulating on TikTok and Twitter.

Holding a T-shirt cannon herself, she propelled one of these gifts to the crowd before adding with a laugh: "Stop throwing things at the artists!"

The trend is not new. At the end of last year, Harry Styles received a "Skittle" candy in the eye and, more recently, a bouquet of flowers in his face.

"This trend of throwing objects at artists when they are on stage must stop," American pop and R&B singer Charlie Puth recently tweeted. "It's disrespectful and it's very dangerous. Please just enjoy the music," he added.
