The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced the issuance of a license certificate for the flying car, dubbed the Model A, and is the first fully electric vehicle that can fly and travel on the roads.

ALEF Automotive said: "Its flying car is the first flying vehicle that can be driven on public roads and is able to park like a regular car, and it also has vertical take-off and landing capabilities."

For its part, the Federal Aviation Administration said, "The car is not the first flying car of its kind to receive a special certificate of airworthiness, but this car is different because of its ability to work on roads and in the air, and looks like a normal car."

"It will be able to carry one or two passengers, and it will have a route range of up to 320 kilometers, and a flight range of 177 kilometers."

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that it has granted the company a certificate of airworthiness for private aviation, allowing it to fly for limited purposes including research and development.

The flying car will be certified as a low-speed vehicle, meaning it will not be able to travel at more than 40 kilometers per hour on a paved road, so it will allow us to move closer to plans to provide an environmentally friendly mode of transportation.

Alef CEO Jim Dukhovny said in a press release, "We are excited to receive this certification from the FAA. It allows us to get closer to bringing people closer to eco-friendly and faster commutes, and to provide working hours for individuals and businesses every week. This is a small step for the aircraft, and a giant step for the cars."

Development of Model A has been underway since 2015 and was inspired by Back to the Future Part II, which was released in 2015.

The company is accepting pre-orders for the Model A, which is expected to officially hit the market in 2025 at a price of about $300,<>.
