Last year, several county administrative boards in the country conducted a survey to find out how restaurant staff, security guards, police and municipal administrators view the situation regarding the use of drugs in pubs and entertainment, and how these conditions can be changed for the better.
The study showed that 70 percent of restaurant staff in the country reported seeing guests under the influence of drugs at the pub in the place where they work in the past year.
Hope to improve cooperation
In the hope of being able to reduce the use of drugs at the pub, the County Administrative Board wants to start collaborating with several restaurants and taverns in the county.
– In the preventive work, it is important to make visible what the use and availability of drugs in connection with alcohol serving looks like and what values and knowledge exist in the restaurant environment, says Eva-Linnéa Eriksson, County Administrative Board of Västmanland.
