The Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reviewed in Doha bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Amiri Diwan said that during the meeting, they discussed ways to support and strengthen bilateral relations, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent regional and international issues, especially developments in the region.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry also reported that Minister Abdollahian discussed in the Qatari capital Doha with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani bilateral files, following up on the path of implementing the joint understandings between the two countries, facilitating economic and commercial activity between the private sectors in the two countries, and cooperation in the field of transport, maritime transport and customs.

Abdollahian announced his trip to Qatar and Oman on a visit that he said was aimed at strengthening his country's relations with them and following up on the decisions taken in this regard.

The Iranian minister said in a tweet that Iran's neighboring countries have very important economic, commercial and political potential, noting that the continued comprehensive development of relations with neighboring countries is one of the main pillars of Tehran's foreign policy, as he put it.
