The Federal Security Service of Russia announced the detention in Nalchik of a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen suspected of espionage.

"It has been established that the detainee, acting on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine, collected and handed over to an employee of a foreign special service information of a military nature for their use against the security of the Russian Federation in the context of a special military operation," the FSB Public Relations Center said in a statement.

The investigating authorities of the FSB opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Espionage").

The FSB systematically reports on countering attempts at espionage activities in favor of Ukraine on the territory of Russia, as well as detentions on suspicion of treason.

Earlier in June, the department told about the detention of former employees of one of the organizations of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, who collaborated with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The DSP of the FSB reported that the detainees are suspected of transferring technical documentation and samples of military products to foreign intelligence, which are used in the creation of weapons and military equipment used by the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, detainees may be involved in preparing to commit explosions aimed at damaging transport infrastructure, in particular in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

As noted in the department, the detainees found a plastic explosive with a total weight of more than 4 kg, four fuses, design documentation and military products, as well as $ 150 thousand.

A criminal case has been opened under articles on high treason and preparation for sabotage.

In early June, the FSB announced the detention in Primorsky Krai of a local resident involved in committing high treason in the form of espionage in the interests of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The security agencies established that the man, acting on the instructions of the Ukrainian military intelligence, collected and transmitted information about law enforcement facilities and military infrastructure of the Primorsky Territory.

It is noted that the detainee was fully aware of the possibility of using this information against the security of the Russian Federation. As a result, a criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("High Treason").

In addition, in May, FSB officers detained a Ukrainian citizen who was transmitting information abroad regarding objects, military equipment, fortifications and combat positions of the Russian armed forces.

The security forces seized technical equipment from the detainee, in which geodata were found with the deployment and activities of the Vostok group of forces, which took part in hostilities in the Kyiv region in the zone of the NMD.

The transfer of this information abroad was used against the security of the Russian Federation, the FSB noted. A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").

Shortly before that, a 34-year-old local resident was detained in Crimea, who sent information about the movement of Russian troops to the chatbot of one of the Ukrainian Telegram channels used by the Ukrainian special services to collect intelligence.

According to the FSB, the information transmitted by a resident of Crimea was sent to the paramilitary formations of Ukraine and used by the enemy to launch missile strikes. A criminal case was opened against the detainee under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (high treason in the form of espionage).
