Today, we are holding a collective study on the theme of studying and implementing the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, with the aim of playing an exemplary role, promoting the whole party to deeply study and implement the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era in thematic education, and laying a solid ideological and theoretical foundation.

Here, I would like to emphasize a few points around the development of thematic education.

First, studying and implementing the idea of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era is the fundamental requirement for opening up a new situation in the new era and new journey. For us, the world's largest Marxist ruling party, only when the theory is strong can the direction be clear, the people's hearts united, and the confidence be sufficient. Having the guidance of Marxist scientific theory is the fundamental reason for our party to strengthen its faith and conviction and grasp the historical initiative. Persisting in arming the whole party, guiding practice, and promoting work with the latest achievements of the Sinicization of Marxism is an important experience of our party in creating history and achieving brilliant achievements. In the new era and new journey, in the face of the complicated international and domestic situations, arduous and arduous tasks of reform, development and stability, and various uncertain and unpredictable risks and challenges, in order to achieve the strategic goals set by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it is urgent for the vast number of Party members and cadres, especially leading cadres at all levels, to further study and implement the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

Every step forward in the party's theoretical innovation must be followed by further theoretical armament. The idea of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era has gone through 10 years of development, and along with this process, we have also promoted the whole party to study for 10 years and achieved obvious results. However, the task of arming ourselves with theory remains arduous. On the one hand, there are still some problems that need to be paid attention to in truly learning, believing and applying, and learning to understand and do practical work. On the other hand, the party's innovative theory is constantly developing, the <>th CPC National Congress put forward a series of major ideas and major viewpoints, and since the <>th CPC National Congress, in the process of expounding the spirit of the <>th CPC National Congress, some new viewpoints have been put forward, especially the major theoretical and practical issue of Chinese-style modernization, which has further enriched the thinking on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Second, focus on grasping the scientific system and essence of the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The party's theoretical innovation process is a process of summing up experience, exploring the unknown, and discovering the truth, that is, a process of grasping the internal relationship between things, revealing objective laws, and predicting the inevitable trend of the development of things. The thinking on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era is to continuously deepen the understanding of the laws of the development of human society, the laws of socialist construction, and other major issues of the times, such as what kind of socialism with Chinese characteristics to adhere to and develop in the new era, how to adhere to and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics, what kind of socialist modern power to build, how to build a modern socialist power, what kind of long-term ruling Marxist political party, and how to build a long-term ruling Marxist political party. The theoretical achievements of the understanding of the laws governing the Communist Party. Its contents cover reform, development and stability, internal and foreign affairs, national defense, party governance, country management, military management and other aspects, forming a complete scientific system. At the same time, to study and thoroughly understand the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, we must also grasp the world view, methodology, and stance, viewpoints, and methods that run through this thought. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward scientific methods to continue to promote theoretical innovation, that is, we must adhere to the supremacy of the people, we must adhere to self-confidence and self-reliance, we must adhere to integrity and innovation, we must adhere to problem-orientation, we must adhere to the concept of system, and we must adhere to the mind of the world. We should be good at using the thinking on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era to observe, grasp and lead the times, better coordinate the overall situation of the great rejuvenation strategy of the Chinese nation and the great changes in the world that have not been seen in a century, have a deep insight into the time and situation, crisis and opportunity, and actively identify and adapt to changes. We should be good at using this thinking to promote new progress and breakthroughs in Chinese-style modernization, strengthen political leadership, enrich strategic support, expand practical paths, solve development problems, stimulate dynamic vitality, and make Chinese-style modernization more distinct, more prominent, and brighter prospects.
