Israel revoked the entry permits of 3 Fatah leaders after they visited Karim Younes, the Palestinian prisoner who was released after 40 years in the occupation prisons.

The decision was issued by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who said yesterday, Saturday, in a statement, "The three men took advantage of their situation and entered Israel this morning to go to the home of the terrorist Karim Younes."

Delegations came to the town of Ara to congratulate Younes on his freedom, where a reception tent was set up and Palestinian flags were raised, amid Israeli threats to revoke his citizenship.

Younes, 66, said - in an interview with Al-Jazeera Net - that the threats of the Israeli government ministers to revoke my nationality "do not frighten me, nor do they frighten any of the prisoners inside.

The withdrawal of entry permits from the three Palestinian leaders comes after Israel announced a series of sanctions - especially financial ones - against the Palestinian Authority.

These measures came after the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on the International Court of Justice to give a legal opinion on the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
