China News Service, Hong Kong, November 17 (Reporter Suo Youwei) Art Basel announced on November 17 the list of 171 leading international art galleries selected for the 2023 Hong Kong exhibition. The participating galleries are from Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Africa. There are a total of 32 countries and regions, and the lineup of exhibitors has increased significantly compared with the 130 galleries in the 2022 exhibition.

  It is reported that the Art Basel Hong Kong exhibition will be held from March 23 to March 25, 2023. The exhibition will set up "Art Gathering Space", "Light Screening Site", "Curatorial Corner" and "Dialogue with Art Basel" and other special exhibition areas.

  Art Basel has always been committed to presenting outstanding works of art from the Asia-Pacific region. In 2023, more than two-thirds of the exhibiting galleries of the Hong Kong fair have exhibition spaces in the region.

Among the 171 participating galleries, 21 are exhibiting for the first time from all over the world, and there are 32 Hong Kong galleries with exhibition space.

  Le Siyang, Director of Art Basel Hong Kong, said that Art Basel is committed to further strengthening Hong Kong's position as Asia's leading art fair.

  Art Basel was established in 1970 by the founders of galleries from Basel. The art exhibitions held in Basel, Miami Beach, Hong Kong and Paris every year present the highest level of modern art and contemporary art.
