against unknown persons: these are the crimes for which the Foggia prosecutor's office opened the investigation to clarify the accident that took place yesterday in Foggiano, in Apricena, in Castelpagano, in which seven people died of which 2 members of the crew (pilot Luigi Ippolito and co-pilot Andrea Nardelli) and 5 passengers, four of whom of Slovenian nationality and Maurizio De Girolamo, 118 doctor who was returning home after working on the Tremiti islands .

The investigations are entrusted to the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Foggia and, in addition to the appointment of technical consultants of the judicial authority for medico-legal aspects and for aeronautical matters, the National Agency for flight safety has also been activated. , which launched the related procedures at the same time. 

The investigation by the Foggia prosecutor's office will serve to ascertain, it is explained, "the possible causes of this tragic event, also in order to detect any criminal liability profiles against persons involved in various capacities". 

For the aspects of "administrative-institutional rank, the required legal communications with the administrative authority and the consular authority of reference have already taken place".
