Zelensky replaced the head of the Kyiv city military administration 

This is stated in a message on the website of the office of the President of Ukraine.

Zelensky believes that Popko's combat experience will help strengthen the defense and security of Kyiv.

Prior to this, the capital's GVA was headed by Nikolai Zhirnov.

In August 2019, Zelensky appointed Alexander Sirsky to the post of commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine instead of Colonel General Popko.
