They also demanded the resignation of Sandu from the presidency.
Earlier it was reported that police officers in Chisinau on the morning of October 24 came with checks to the protesters in the tent city.
The mass protests are now in their seventh week.
The protesters are against rising prices, as well as against the country's leadership.
