A message about this appeared in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

“Alexander Bastrykin, together with the investigation team, personally examined the site of the tragedy, including the building of the educational institution and the surrounding area, where on September 26, 2022 a brutal crime was committed, as a result of which 17 people died, including 11 children and six adults, 25 persons received wounded, including 23 children and two adults,” the message reads. 

The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, arrived in Izhevsk in connection with the investigation of a criminal case about an attack on a school.

From 26 to 29 September, mourning for the dead was declared in Udmurtia.
