The centers of the “Covid 19” examination process began free of charge for students of public schools, from eight o’clock yesterday morning, and will continue until the 28th of this month, and a negative “PCR” swab is a condition for entering schools on the first day of the new school year, which will start next Monday.

The Emirates Foundation for School Education stated that the timing of the examination in the 226 centers in government schools across the country starts from eight in the morning until 10 in the evening, in order to facilitate the students and their parents, and to ensure the smoothness of the examination process, and the absence of visitors to the centers.

In response to a question by "Emirates Today" on the sidelines of the press conference to announce the preparations for the new school year, finally, the Executive Director of the School Branch (Abu Dhabi), Lubna Al Shamsi, said: "The national protocol for operating educational facilities for the academic year (2023/2022) stipulated Examination (PCR) for students aged 12 years and over, as well as educational and administrative staff in schools, in addition to service providers,” stressing that the negative examination result should not exceed 96 hours from the start of the first school day, without the need for a periodic examination, as it was Adopt a symptom-only strategy to conduct the examination.

In a recent circular, the Foundation mentioned the requirements, procedures and precautionary measures necessary for entering schools, the PCR examination periodical, and examination centers.

The procedures include examining a nasal swab (PCR) for students aged 12 years and over, as well as educational and administrative staff in schools, in addition to service providers, stressing that the negative examination result does not exceed 96 hours from the start of the first school day, and there is no need after that to conduct Periodic examination, with the abolition of the safe distance distance in schools and school buses, the abolition of thermal examination for students and school staff, and the mandatory wearing of the muzzle inside closed places, and the application of the green traffic system to the Al-Hosn application for parents of students and visitors to enter schools.

The circular indicated that nasal swab examinations will be provided to students and school workers in designated centers in each region, and students can go to any approved examination center to conduct the examination for free.

The Foundation obligated schools to educate parents of students about the validity of the negative result of the nasal swab examination (PCR) for a period of 96 hours (four days prior to school work), as the examinations began yesterday, to ensure that the validity period of the swab was met.

The National Protocol for the Operation of Educational Establishments required a PCR examination for students aged 12 years and over.
