French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Algeria on Thursday afternoon for a three-day visit to the country.

Macron was received at Algiers International Airport (Houari Boumediene) by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The two sides are scheduled to hold a series of talks, some of them separately.

The two presidents will discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common interest, such as the Libyan crisis, the situation in Mali, the Middle East, and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis on Europe's gas supplies.
