The Democratic Party's general assembly was convened one day after the amendment to the Party Constitution was rejected by the Central Committee.



Although it is regrettable that the amendment to the Party Constitution was rejected, Vice Chairman Woo Sang-ho repeatedly persuaded the legitimacy of the amendment.



Instead of omitting the controversial 'Priority for Voting by Rights Members', it is proposed to amend Article 80 of the Party Constitution, which changes the relief mechanism in case of suspension of duties, to pass.



This amendment was passed with great ease at the subsequent party committee meeting.

Some of the 'screaming' lawmakers, who defined the Article 80 amendment bill for the bulletproof use of Rep. Jae-myung Lee, took a stand by stating that "an agenda that has been rejected cannot be re-introduced within the same session."

Rep. Lee Sang-min, a middle-level lawmaker, criticized it as "a shameful thing to reconsider", and Rep.



The non-captain responded that there was no problem with the procedure because a new session would start if the Central Committee was reopened.



The amendment passed by the party committee today will be submitted to the online voting of the central committee tomorrow and will be reported to the national delegates conference, the highest decision-making body, on the 28th.



However, as the pro-Lee Jae-myung faction, including Rep. Chung Cheong-rae, announced that they would revisit the constitution of the party, which had failed after the new leadership took office, the spark of factional conflict is still alive.
