Yemeni sources expected that the government delegation in the Jordan consultations will leave Amman for Aden, after agreeing to the proposal of the UN envoy, Hans Grünbederg, regarding opening the roads of Taiz and other provinces, and the matter remained in the hands of the Houthi militia.

And earlier today, Tuesday, the government team announced in the Amman consultations that it had stopped due to the insistence of the Houthi militias to impose a fait accompli.

The official Saba news agency quoted a statement by the government delegation that the UN envoy’s proposal provides for the opening of 5 roads in Taiz and some governorates, including a main road. coming.

The statement of the government delegation indicated that the militias insist on putting up dirt roads that do not achieve the goal of lifting the siege and alleviating the suffering of the people of Taiz. ".

The government delegation called on the international community, the ambassadors of the European Union and the US envoy to put more pressure on the Houthi militias to expedite the opening of the main roads to the city of Taiz and the rest of the governorates, and to turn the UN envoy's proposal on this into a reality on the ground.

On the other hand, the United Nations said that representatives of the government, the Houthis, and the leadership of the joint forces in the Arab coalition, in the Military Coordination Committee, met on Monday in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and agreed to establish a joint coordination room for de-escalation.

The office of the UN envoy said in a statement that the representatives of the Military Coordination Committee agreed during the meeting to "nominate liaison officials to the Joint Coordination Chamber within a maximum period of one week, to ensure regular communication."

Yemeni sources familiar with the course of Jordan's consultations on Taiz's military roads revealed information about a draft comprehensive agreement on many issues in Taiz.

She pointed out that the project was left for discussion by the Yemeni parties, and includes stopping the war in the city of Taiz and all districts, while keeping the local authorities affiliated with the government and militias each within the framework of its geographical areas of control.

According to the sources, the draft agreement also provides for the survival of the military sites of the two parties in their areas, and not to move them or launch any military operations against any party, as well as the establishment of a coordination council headed by the two deputy governors from the authorities of the two parties.

The draft agreement also provides for the opening of all roads, with the two authorities in the governorate bearing the responsibility of protecting citizens and their property in accordance with the law, strengthening the authority of legal institutions and preventing any manifestations of weapons in the city, and that the agreement constitutes a building block upon which any comprehensive settlement of the Yemeni situation will be built.

The sources confirmed that the government side presented its vision, adhering to not repeating the mistakes that led to the failure of the Liaison Officers Operations Room and the link points in Hodeidah 2020.

On the other hand, Yemenia Airlines announced today the suspension of its flights to Egypt for an indefinite period due to the militias' intransigence and their refusal to open roads and crossings in Taiz and other governorates.

The Yemeni Airlines Company stated that the Sanaa-Cairo flight will be postponed until the required permits are obtained.

Yemeni political sources said that stopping the flight from Sanaa to Cairo is the beginning of the pressure exerted by the United Nations on the Houthi militias, which have so far refused to open the siege on the city of Taiz, according to the terms of the two-month truce announced in early April.

In Taiz, the militias bombed the army’s positions with drones, focused on the air defense site north of the city, and the Negroes and Al-Arbaeen fronts.

Local residents of Taiz also reported that huge explosions resounded in the eastern neighborhoods of Taiz, at dawn today, as a result of the artillery shells fired by the militias towards those neighborhoods.

Reports issued by the Human Rights Information and Rehabilitation Center (Hritc) documented more than 31 thousand violations against civilians in Taiz during the years of siege, which left 3,988 civilians dead, including 855 children and 458 women, while the number of injured reached 17,688 civilians, including 2,063 children and 2,640 women.

 In Hodeidah, the joint forces thwarted infiltration attempts by Houthi elements towards the liberated areas in the Hays axis, and south of Al-Jarrahi, south of the governorate.

The Media Center of the Joint Forces stated that it had detected 29 new violations, including 17 in the same axis (Hais), and 12 in the Al-Barah axis, west of Taiz.

In Marib, a soldier was killed and two others were wounded, as a result of Houthi drone attacks that targeted military sites on the eastern al-Balaq and al-Kasara fronts.

The media center of the Yemeni army had monitored 464 violations of the UN armistice, during the period from 1 to 5 June, on the fronts of Al-Dhalea, Abyan, Taiz, Al-Hodeidah, Hajjah, Al-Jawf and Marib.

In Abyan, government security forces, with the support of the army, managed to liberate two kidnappers in Wadi Diqa on the western outskirts of Al-Mahfad District, southeast of Abyan Governorate.
