Russia launched a missile attack on the capital, Kiiu, for the first time in 38 days.

In the meantime, they were focusing their efforts on the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine, but they again attacked the capital, Kiiu.

] Several Russian missiles hit the Ukrainian capital Kiiu on Sunday morning local time.



The affected area is Darnitsky and Dniprowsky, a district that extends from the city center of Kiiu to the outskirts of the southeast.



Smoke billowed from the area with a loud explosion.



The Russian air strike on the capital, Kiiu, was the first in 38 days.



Prior to the explosion, air raid warnings sounded across Ukraine, and cruise missile sightings were posted on social media one after another.



Ukraine's state-owned nuclear power plant said a Russian cruise missile flew at a very low altitude over the southern nuclear power plant around 5:30 a.m. local time, and that the Russian military does not appear to fully understand the dangers of a nuclear disaster.



Ukrainian authorities said there were no fatalities in the attack and that one person was injured and hospitalized.



The Ukrainian government said attacks on its second city, Kharkiv, and eastern provinces were continuing.

In the midst of this, French President Emmanuel Macron's remarks have come under fire.



In an interview with the French press, he said, "We must be able to find a way out through diplomatic channels," and "we must not humiliate Russia."



Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleva said on Twitter, "The request not to humiliate Russia will only humiliate France and other countries that demand it."
