“We have abandoned the world's third largest nuclear arsenal, and we have no plans to regain nuclear weapons,” Kuleba was quoted by TASS.

According to him, "Ukraine in 1994, through denuclearization, made a historic contribution to global security." 

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov also spoke about the information about the development of nuclear weapons in the country.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during his speech at the Munich Security Conference, announced his intention to initiate consultations within the framework of the Budapest Memorandum, while he did not rule out a revision of Ukraine's refusal of nuclear weapons.

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the possibility of the emergence of nuclear weapons in the Ukrainian authorities.
